Kaurna Yarning Circle
Description:
The Kaurna Yarning Circle project was a collaboration between Mantirri Design, Swanbury Penglase, University of South Australia and representatives of the Kaurna community that responds to the surrounding context, local cultures and environment. This space offer university students and others an opportunity to yarn and learn in the outdoors instead of the traditional classroom environment. This space is placed to resonate with Indigenous students, alike and offer a pedagogical learning experience, an opportunity to bring people together, celebrate culture, bring in a landscape offering and an opportunity to engage and understand the importance of Kaurna Country, people and culture.
